Fix an old photo scanned

Thanks to the PhotoShop program you can make amazing photo retouching. The restoration of old photos that have been scanned in one of its many possibilities with highly satisfactory results.
Below you can see some examples of how to restore old photographs that are in an original state deteriorated and then convert them into an optimal digital format ready to be printed.

Fix a damaged photo

Next, we will try to fix a photo that has been damaged, restoring its background.
The clone buffer tool will be used.

First the image is loaded in the Adobe PhotoShop program.

As you can see the image is quite deteriorated, so they will be taking "healthy" samples of it to be replaced by those areas that have suffered deterioration. For that the clone buffer will be selected.
Selecting the ALT key and clicking together in the "healthy" area of ​​the photo is cloning it.
Attention must be paid to the size of the tampon so that it is consistent with the area to be cloned:

With the key combination ALT + click the "healthy" zone is selected, and with a single click in the affected area the cloning operation is performed:

The same thing that has been done in that area must be applied to the rest with the same methodology until the photograph is completely restored.

Then another area of ​​the photo to clone will be applied with the steps mentioned above.
Always bear in mind that you must change the size of the brush in certain areas or play with the zoom tool.

Trick:
Observe that when cloning the sample you can see inside the brush the cloned area and how it will be in the area to be cloned.

The clone buffer tool of PhotoShop is extremely useful for making retouching of photographs. It allows to copy certain motifs or parts of a photo to be pasted or cloned in other areas of the same image. It differs from the patch tool and the concealer brush in that it does not consider the values ​​corresponding to brightness and contrast.

For this reason the merger made practically does not exist.
