As a first step you must study the business to which you want to position through the SEO strategy.
Analyzing the keyword is essential to start implementing a search engine strategy.
You should try to find out how the target audience can search for the products or services of reference on the Web and which you want to promote.
The next step is to create a list of possible words or phrases that the Internet user can use when filling out Google's search box.
The fundamental idea is that the user can find exactly what the company is offering on the Internet.
It is also useful to be able to appear in the directories and sites that are related to the main activity of the business.
Subsequently, a competitive analysis of the chosen keywords must be carried out.
Therefore you have to analyze the existing competition for these keywords.
This competitive analysis will determine which will be the best strategies to follow.
Next we will try to identify the key words that a certain business would carry:
As a first point you have to investigate the Web of the company you want to position.
For that you enter the website and see how the site menu is composed.
For example: http: //
tecnoalt.com
/
Once inside the site you can see the words: Android, Blackberry, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Nokia, among others, that are part of one of the menus.
In other words, the words that are within the structure of the site will have to be part of the
keywords.
Now if we enter the Google search engine and put one of the keywords that have been chosen (Android), you can see how Google suggests a series of alternative keywords when filling the search box, for example Android Market):
These will be combinations of keywords that will have to be used in the SEO strategy.
You can also use the tool provided by Google for free to find keywords.
It is
Google Adwords.
Next you have to complete the text boxes that appear on the website:
Once the text boxes have been loaded, click on the
Search
button to then see the results of the keywords obtained based on the search criteria:
As can be seen in the search result, different columns appear: competition (High), global monthly searches (for example 18,100), monthly local searches (for example: 14,800).
This information is very useful to implement an SEO strategy based on the analysis of the competition.
Another option is to download the result of the search in CSV format (for Microsoft Excel):
Also clicking on one of the search results follows the following list of options:
Clicking on
Google Search
will access the Google site with those search results for those keywords:
In the option of
Google Experience for Search
, you can see a statistical graph with the interests that users have shown over time:
In the
Exclude term
option, it will simply be removed from the search results.
While where it says
Show more similar options
, will add more keywords related to the previously chosen.
