The PlayStation 5 is a neat little system, one with the potential to run some great games. But it also gives you the ability to set up multiple accounts on one system, in case more than one person feels like playing on it.
But what happens when you need to delete an account from your system, like if the friend goes and gets yours or just doesn't want to keep it there? Don't worry, you can easily delete your account by following these basic steps.
Delete an unnecessary PS5 account
First, go to settings and look for an option called "Login Settings". You will notice it in the image below.
Then once you're in those settings go to the option "User Management". It will be located at the bottom, just below Login Password Management.
Once there, you will see two options. The first is "Create user", in case you want to put someone new in the system; and "Delete user", which will remove someone. Obviously, you will want to choose the second option.
From there, simply select the profile you want to remove from the account, and then confirm your removal. Done!
Something to have in mind
Just a quick note that if you delete a person's profile from the system, it will also delete all the saved data associated with it. So if you have a particular save file for a game, it will disappear a long time ago since the account below it was deleted.
If you want to keep any of these saved files before deleting the account, be sure to log in and transfer them either to system memory (under a different profile) or to an external memory option. Remember, once they are gone, they are gone forever.
Be sure to get all the data you need from the profile before deleting it. After that, you're all set and you can focus on the profiles that matter.
