When it comes to gaming TVs, size and sound aren't the only factors to assess. If you want to see games at their full potential, you'll also need to consider refresh rate and latency..

Playing video games on a massive screen is always fun; you can then see all the details of the game in absolute clarity, and that does wonders in terms of immersion.

Most TVs offer at least 1080p HD resolution, with many offering 4K UHD. There are even TVs up to 8K, for the best models. The other key factors to consider are the refresh rate and the latency. Refresh rate determines how quickly images change on screen (to see enemies faster in multiplayer, for example) and latency determines how quickly processed information appears on screen..

With so many TVs and features available, a list should help you choose your gaming monitor.

LG SIGNATURE OLED88Z9PUA

The LG Signature OLED88Z9PUA  is a dream TV, but the price is a nightmare. This gargantuan TV has an 88-inch OLED screen and is the first to have a capability of 7,680 x 4,320 8K. It is so massive that it cannot be hung on the wall, but comes with an inlaid silver stand and a built-in shelf. The Signature OLED88Z9PUA plays its role well, with a sleek design, 4 HDMI ports, 3 USB ports, an Ethernet port and an optical audio port..

This TV offers an important graphic quality, with HDR and Dolby Vision. It comes with the Google Alexa Assistant and powerful 80-watt sound. The latency is 140ms, but it can be reduced to less than 20ms by putting the TV in Game Mode. The LG Signature OLED88Z9PUA has everything a gamer could want with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 and a very good overall quality. On the other hand, it is expensive and there is not yet enough 8K content to fully enjoy it.

Samsung Q90T 65-Inch

The Samsung QN65Q90TA 65-Inch TV  is a little more realistic option, but it maintains very good performance and quality. This 65-inch TV includes a QLED screen with 4K UHD of 3840 x 2160 resolution and 16x Quantum HDR capability. It also contains a Real Game Enhancer + mode which automatically optimizes the photo and sound while playing. Freesync is included, reducing texture tearing and distortion if you're using an AMD graphics card.

One of the features that you don't find on many TVs is the Active Voice Amplifier. She analyzes the sound in the background of the room and adjusts the voices in a scene so that they are heard better. The QN65Q90TA 65-inch TV also has a good design, with a metal stand in the center.

LG Electronics OLED65E9PUA E9

The LG OLED65E9PUA E9  is another 65 inch TV that gamers will love. Like most OLED TVs, the picture quality is superb. It has HEDMI 2.1 certification and supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). Another useful feature for gamers is Nvidia's G-Sync, which is compatible with GTX 16 and GTX 20 series graphics cards. It also has a GtG (Gray to Gray) response time of 1ms and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

One of the best features of this LG model is its sound quality. It contains a 4.1 channel sound bar and a 20 watt woofer. The LG OLED65E9PUA E9 also has all the features expected of a premium TV such as the Google Alexa Assistant, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Sony A8H TV 55 Inch

The Sony A8H 55-inch  is a great option if you want a smaller and cheaper TV. It uses the same X1 processor as a high-end Master Series and an OLED display to deliver a crisp and clear picture in 4K UHD resolution. It is also HDR compatible and uses the Pixel Contrast Booster to enhance the colors on the screen. Another great feature is the Android TV OS which is easy to use and compatible with many devices. It also works with Alexa and the Google Assistant, to use voice commands.

Sony uses a configuration known as Surface Audio Acoustic for TV. It places two 10-watt speakers and two 5-watt subwoofers so the sound comes from where the action is instead of the bottom and sides. This TV is good for gaming, but it lacks HDMI 2.1 ports for the latest consoles.

Hisense Class H8 Quantum Series 55 Inch

The  Hisense 55-inch H8 Quantum Series  has some of the best value for money on this list, with a good balance between functionality and price. It includes a ULED screen with Quantum Dot technology and 4K UHD resolution. It also includes 90 local brightness zones and a refresh rate of 120Hz. But G-Sync and Freesync aren't there. On the other hand, Game Mode drastically reduces latency, from 90ms to 20ms.

The Hisense H8 Quantum Series 55 inch is another TV that uses the Android OS, with most of the entertainment apps pre-downloaded. Google Assistant and Alexa are also available. Dolby Atmos technology, but the clarity of the sound is average.

TCL Roku 43S425

The TCL Roku 43S425  is one of the best choices if you need a gaming TV but are on a budget. This 43 inch TV may be cheaper, but it still has a lot of features like 4K UHD resolution and HDR capability. It also includes a Game Mode which reduces latency from 30ms to 20ms. The refresh rate is around 120Hz.

If you buy a TCL Roku TV, you also get access to streaming services like Roku Channel and Pluto TV. It easily connects to most other streaming services like Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu. You won't get the best picture quality, but it's going to be hard to complain about considering the price.

SAMSUNG Q80T 49 Inch

The  Samsung Q80T  is also inexpensive, but has incredible picture quality. This OLED TV has full backlighting and delivers impressive picture quality in 4K UHD resolution. It also contains HDR capability and Quantum Dot technology to make the colors pop. The sound quality is impressive thanks to the 60-watt system with speakers at the top and bottom of the screen.

This TV has Game Motion Plus mode to reduce blur and keep latency below 20ms. Unfortunately, the 49-inch model doesn't come with the Freesync like its larger colleagues, but it's still a product that stands out.
