Add text to PDF files in Microsoft Edge

image

The first thing we should do is open a PDF file in Edge and look for the new "Add text" button found in the toolbar at the top. Additionally we can right click on any part of the PDF and choose the option "Add text"..

We must bear in mind that the right-click option is available in Microsoft Edge version 93.0.961.47.

After choosing "Add text", we will have to click on the area of the PDF file where we want to add said text. We can see a text box along with several options to be able to format it, this box is "floating" so it is not affecting the PDF in question.

In this one, we will find options such as: modify text color , adjust its size and spacing options. At the moment, the color options are a bit limited and we will only be able to choose between red, dark green, blue and black..

On the right side of the option to choose the text color, we will have the possibility of using the buttons to change its size. With these options, we can modify the text so that it adapts perfectly to the PDF.

The other option is to adjust the spaces that exist between the characters that we add, this is ideal for when we must fill in several boxes as you can see in the image that accompanies this article.

In case you want to delete the text that we have just edited, for whatever reason, we can use the trash can, it is the icon that is on the right side, the last one.

When we want to save the changes, we can press "Ctrl + S" which is the shortcut to save or simply click on the icon in the form of "Floppy" that is in the upper right part of the screen.
