Find out the WhatsApp version

Open the menu in WhatsApp by tapping the three vertical dots in the top right of the app. Select " Settings ".

Then tap Help .

Perform WhatsApp update

Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile picture in the top right corner.

Here go to " Manage apps and device ".

If " updates are available", you will now see this in the overview. From there, tap on " View Details " to search for WhatsApp. In the “ Pending Downloads ” list, scroll to WhatsApp and tap “ Update ” to the right of it to download the latest version of the software to your smartphone. If WhatsApp is not in the overview or if you have activated automatic updates, the app is up to date.
