Activate silent mode with the mute button

The first and fastest way to deactivate the camera sound is to use the mute switch on the side of your device. By activating the mute mode, you can turn off the camera sound with a flick of the wrist. Please note, however, that this will also switch off all other tones and sounds of the device. If you have a device from Japan, the mute function will not work because it is illegal in Japan to take photos without playing a sound.

The "mute" switch is located on the left edge of the housing of your device. An orange background indicates that you are in "silent mode".
