If Windows 8 does not come with any application you need, you can get it directly and install it on your computer, how you start the installation process depends on how you got the application, yes Windows Store or was downloaded from the Internet, let's see the two scenarios.

Installation from the Windows Store

Windows 8 applications interface

We have already seen how to install an application, how to locate and execute it, finally we will see the interface of a Windows 8 application and all the features that it brings.

In this tutorial we will use the weather application to explain all the details.

 • A - [/ color] Toolbar:
The toolbar offers buttons, lists and other items that offer easy access to commands and features of the application in use. Some buttons are commands and others are lists from which we can choose an option. It is important to mention that not all Windows 8 applications come with a toolbar. To access it, we can right click on the screen or press the Windows + Z button.
 • B - [/ color] Application Bar:
The application bar contains icons that give us access to several features of the application. In some applications this bar appears at the top instead of at the bottom. To access this we use the same technique as with the toolbar.
 • C - [/ color] Settings:
In settings we can customize and configure the application. To display the settings press the Windows + l button.

If we want to increase the functionality of our computer we can install a few applications that make our daily tasks much easier and with this, without any doubt, to be able to get the most out of Windows 8 .
