The simple handling of Opera makes it possible to import bookmarks and sometimes cookies, browser histories and passwords in various ways. In the following, we will explain exactly how this works.

Insert bookmarks in Opera

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Click Opera at the top right on the controller icon. Relatively far down in the sidebar you will find the item " Import bookmarks and settings ... ". Click on it.

2nd step:

A new window is opening up. Here you will find a drop-down menu in which you can select the source for your bookmarks. If you want to integrate bookmarks from another browser such as Firefox or Chrome, select the corresponding entry in the menu and click on " Import " to integrate the selected data. Important: To complete the process, the browser from which you are importing must be closed.

3rd step:

To import an HTML file, select Bookmarks HTML File from the drop-down menu . Then click Choose File and open an HTML bookmarks file saved on your computer.

4th step:

You have now successfully imported the bookmarks into Opera. The process is completed by clicking on " Done ".

quick start Guide

  1. Click on the symbol with the three bars in the upper right corner and then select the item " Import bookmarks and settings ... " in the bar .
  2. Now you can choose which source you want to import the bookmarks from. You can import the bookmarks and other content such as the browser history directly from another browser such as Firefox or Chrome or from a saved HTML file.
  3. If you are importing from a different browser, select the source browser and click " Import ". The content will now be inserted automatically.
    If you want to import from an HTML file, select this from the drop-down menu and then click on " Choose file ". Now you have to select a file on your computer and insert it into the browser with " Open ".
