"Your cell phone can also postage!" - this is how mobile franking is advertised by Deutsche Post. But how does it work? The mobile postage stamp is a service provided by Deutsche Post that is intended to replace traditional postage stamps. All you need is a cell phone and you don't have to go to the post office. We explain everything else in the following tipps + tricks article.

If you use the "Post & DHL" app, you can use it to frank letters or postcards while on the move. You can download this free of charge from the corresponding app store:

By the way: In the past, franking was also possible via SMS code - the so-called mobile phone postage. In the meantime, there is only the uniform system via the app.

To access your postage via the app, follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

Select " Send " in the app below . Now you have to decide whether you want to frank a parcel or a letter .

2nd step:

Next, you need to decide which brand you need exactly. In this example, a letter is to be provided with a standard letter stamp.

3rd step:

Finally, you still have to choose whether you want to receive your brand as a code for labeling or for printing . Of course you need a printer for the printout. Simply write the code for labeling as "#POST 1MVSTER4" in two lines on the letter. Instead of 1MVSTER4 you then of course use your own code. Then you have to pay via PayPal and you can send your letter postage paid.

1. In the app, tap on " Send " at the bottom .
2. Now you have to decide whether you want to send a parcel or a letter .
3. Now select the shipping label you need .
4. Finally, you can decide whether you want to receive your brand as a code for labeling or for printing . After paying, you will have direct access to your internet brand in order to add it to your shipment.
