Just like the competition Whatsapp Web, you can use the instant messenger Skype in your browser without installing an app, and from there you can make calls and write short messages. This article explains how to do this and what you need to consider.

How to use the online version of Skype in the browser

1st step:

Go to https://web.skype.com in your browser. Note that you can only use Skype online using the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser. Firefox or other browsers are currently not supported. Now sign in with your Skype login .

2nd step:

This will take you to the Skype browser interface. On the left you will find the navigation area with the contact list as well as the calls and chats made. The notifications are also displayed here. To start a call or chat, click on one of your contacts and then on one of the icons in the upper right corner to contact the user.

3rd step:

To send an invitation, click your profile picture , then click " Invite Friends ".

4th step:

You can now copy the automatically generated link directly to the clipboard or you can send the invitation directly by email.
