The Samsung Free app is preinstalled on many Samsung Galaxy devices. The devices must be running at least Android 10 for this. You can find Samsung Free by swiping right on the start page (up or down on the Samsung Galaxy S21 and newer devices). Samsung itself calls the service a "point of contact for entertainment". All offers are free of charge.
At Samsung Free you can read messages and texts on various topics under " Read ". You can narrow it down by specifying your interests. Under " Play " you will find games for your mobile device that you can play without installation. Further functions are to follow soon: " Lists " in the podcast offer "You should also be able to create your own playlists, with" Watch "you should find free streams from various stations with news, sports or films.
How to turn off Samsung Free
In case the Samsung Free service annoys you, you can simply deactivate it. However, you cannot uninstall the app because it is a preinstalled Samsung app. To deactivate the service, follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Press and hold on an empty area on the home screen (alternatively, zoom out from the home screen). You will automatically be taken to the overview.
- Swipe right or left until you see Samsung Free.
- Then just tap the switch in the top right to deactivate the app.
