You have downloaded a file in Safari on your iPhone or iPad but cannot see where it is stored? No problem, because since iOS 11 all downloads are collected in a central folder. You can find out where this is and how to find it in our instructions.

1st step:

Invite you first of all a file with Safari down. By the way : If you tap the download icon in the top right corner , you can view the progress of the data transfer.

2nd step:

Quit Safari and open the Files app . At the top level of this app, you'll see a number of locations that your iPhone can access. The exact location where you can find your downloads depends on whether you have set up that downloads are only saved on your device or also in the cloud. For local downloads tap on “ On my iPhone ”, for downloads in the cloud tap on “ iCloud Drive ”. If you're not sure, just look in both locations.

3rd step:

Now tap on " Downloads ".

4th step:

Here you will find all the files that you have downloaded with your iPhone. If you tap on a file, it will be opened in a preview , which you can then use to share the download further.

1. Download a file using Safari.
2. Go to the Files app .
3. Depending on the download setting, tap on " On my iPhone " or " iCloud Drive " and then on " Downloads ". Here you will now find all the files that you have downloaded with Safari on your iPhone.
