How to backup your Firefox profile

1st step:

First open Firefox and enter " about: support " in the address bar . Now scroll down to the point " Profile folder " and click on " Open folder ". This will take you to the storage location of your profiles.

2nd step:

Once in the profile folder, you will see all profile files that contain your Firefox settings. Now switch to the higher-level folder " Profiles " in order to be able to copy the entire profile folder (folder with the name " xxxxx.default ").

3rd step:

Now copy your profile folder and save it in the location you want . If you want to use the saved profile again, perform step 1 again. Then delete all files and replace them with the backed up profile files . Make sure to only paste the contents of the backed up folder , not the entire folder. After successfully inserting the content, you can start Firefox as usual and use your saved profile.

  1. Start Firefox and enter " about: support " in the address bar.
  2. Navigate to Profile Folder and click Open Folder .
  3. In the profile folder, navigate to the parent folder and copy the entire profile folder .
  4. Back up your profile folder in any location .
  5. To reuse the profile, you will need to navigate to the Firefox profile folder again to paste the backed up content into the new profile folder. Paste only the contents of the backed up profile folder, not the entire folder.
