Download a new font as an .otf , .ttf, or .ttc file . You can find a large selection of fonts on the Internet, in our example on dafont.com .

Depending on where you downloaded the font, you may need to unzip it first . To do this, double- click the .zip file.

Then double - click the file with the font you want to install. Then a window will open that gives you a preview of the new font. Select " Install " at the bottom right.

The font will now be installed. The "Fonts collection " program then opens , in which you can see all the fonts installed on your computer at a glance.

How to manage and delete the installed fonts

If you want to uninstall a font or check which fonts you have currently installed, you can use the "Fonts collection" program:

1st step:

Open the " Font Book ". You can find this either with the Spotlight search by pressing [Cmd] + [Spacebar] at the same time and then entering “Fonts collection”. Alternatively, you can open the “Applications” folder in the Finder and open the “Fonts collection” program there.

Switch to the item " User " in the sidebar on the left . Here you can see all the fonts that you installed manually.

To a font delete , click with the right mouse button on it and select " family" [name] "remove ". Then confirm your entry.
