Deactivate Voice Match

1st step:

Open the Google app and tap the three lines / "More" in the lower right corner .

2nd step:

You will now be directed to a menu. Select " Settings " here.

3rd step:

In the settings you now have to tap on " Voice input ".

4th step:

In the next step select the item " Voice Match ".

5th step:

Move the slider by tapping it so that it is to the left. Then "OK Google" is deactivated. You can also recognize this by the fact that the whole area - as shown in the picture - is slightly grayed out.

Deactivate voice recognition of the Google Assistant

If you deactivate Voice Match, the Google Assistant will still be able to use voice control. Therefore, you should also switch this off. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

1st step:

Open your device's settings . Scroll down a little and tap " Google ".

2nd step:

Now you have to select " Google Search, Google Assistant & Google .. ".

3rd step:

Now select " Google Assistant " by tapping it.

4th step:

Here you get to an overview with several tabs. Select the " Assistant " tab . Scroll down to Assistant Devices . Then tap on " Smartphone ".

5th step:

In this overview, move the slider at the top right of " Google Assistant " by tapping. It should then be inside out and colored gray. Now you have successfully disabled the Google Assistant.

Open the “ Settings ” app on your smartphone and then go to “ Apps ”.

2nd step:

Scroll down or use the magnifying glass symbol at the top right and enter “ Google ”. Then tap on it.

1. Open the settings of your device.
2. Go to " System " and then to " Language & Input ". A keyboard must be selected as the input method here.
3. Now tap on " Virtual Keyboard " and then on " Manage Keyboards ".
4. Deactivate the option " Google Voice Typing " here. If this option is grayed out and therefore cannot be selected, try the following: Select a different keyboard (e.g. Google Keyboard) or a different keyboard language. The "Google Voice Typing" option should now be active. Switch them off and switch back to your usual language and keyboard.
5. You may have to restart your device to save the setting .
