In these tips + tricks we explain how you can change your username on Instagram..

The username is, so to speak, the figurehead of your profile on Instagram. This is initially selected but not final and can be easily changed in the app. But you can also change the Instagram name in the browser on your PC. 1st step:

Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and tap the icon for your profile in the lower right corner. Then go to " Edit Profile ".

2nd step:

Here you can see your name and username. To change this, tap on the relevant entry.

3rd step:

At the top, tap again on the name or username - depending on which entry you want to change. When you're satisfied, tap the blue tick . The username or name was then successfully changed and will now be displayed to you and your followers on Instagram.

Go to https://www.instagram.com and sign in.

2nd step:

Click on the profile symbol and then on " Edit profile ".

3rd step:

Select either the field next to Username or Name and change it as you wish.

4th step:

If you are satisfied with your new username or name for Instagram, click on " Submit ".

1. Open Instagram and select your profile . Here tap on " Edit profile ".
2. To change the name, simply tap the field next to " Username " or " Name ".
3. Change this as desired and save the change with the blue tick in the top right corner.

3. You can then change your Instagram name and username here . Save the name with " Submit ".
