Have you discovered a cool post on an Instagram user and want to share it in your own feed? This is how the repost works!

You can easily share someone else's Instagram post with friends via direct messages. However, if you would like to include the article in your picture gallery or share it in your story, you can only do this as a repost. There are two options that we will show you in our article:

• Publish repost in your own Instagram feed
• Embed repost in website

Publish repost in your own Instagram feed

To do a repost on Instagram, you need a corresponding app. In our instructions we use "Repost for Instagram" as an example. On the side of Repost You can download the app for iOS and Android. Or you can search for them specifically in the App Store or the Play Store..

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step

Open the app and tap the Instagram icon in the top right corner .

2nd step:

Confirm the process by tapping " Open ". The Instagram app will open automatically.

3rd step:

Find the post that you want to publish in your own feed. For this, tap on the three dots to the right of the name of the author.

4th step:

Select " Copy Link " and close Instagram . Then open the Repost app again.

5th step:

The previously selected contribution is automatically displayed in the app. Tap it to make further edits .

6th step:

You can now select where position is to appear the copyright on the image. You can also choose whether it has a white or black background. After editing, tap Repost .

7th step:

Now tap on " OK " to allow access to your photos.

8th step:

Copy the copyright holder's heading by tapping " Copy Caption & Open Instagram ". This will take you back to Instagram and can publish the post directly. If you now select " Copy Caption ", you can also post the article from your gallery at a later point in time .

9th step:

The last step is to choose whether you want to upload the repost in your story or whether it should appear in your feed . Tap either option and the repost will be published.

Embed repost in website

If you don't want to publish the repost in your own Instagram feed, but want to embed it in an external website, proceed as follows. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions ..

1st step:

Open Instagram in your browser and sign in. Then choose the post that you want to publish on an external website. Click on the three dots for this to open the menu .

2nd step:

Now click on " Embed " to generate the link to the post.

3rd step:

Then click on " Copy embed code ". You can now insert this on a website in order to publish the repost.

Quick guide: publish repost in your own Instagram feed

1. Download the Repost App and open it.
2. At the top right of the app, tap the Instagram icon
3. Allow access . This will automatically redirect you to Instagram .
4. Find the post that you want to publish on your own feed. Then tap on the three dots to the right of the author's name to open the menu .
5. Select " Copy Link " and return to the Repost App .
6. The post appears automatically in the app and you can tap it.
7. Select the position in which the author should appear and whether it should be highlighted in black or white . Then tap on " Repost ".
8. Confirm access to your photos and copy the copyright holder's heading by tapping " Copy Caption & Open Instagram ". This will take you back to Instagram and can publish the post directly. If you only select " Copy Caption " here, you can also post the article from your gallery at a later point in time .
9. You can now choose whether you want to upload the post in your story or in your feed .

Quick guide: embed repost in website

1. Open Instagram in your browser and sign in.
2. Find the post that you would like to publish on an external website and click on the three dots to open the menu .
3. Click on " Embed " to generate the link for the repost.
4. With a click on " Copy embed code " it is on your clipboard and you can paste it on a website .
