Are you listening to your favorite song or have you made a new music discovery on Spotify? Share it on Instagram by personalizing your story with some music. It's easy to do with Instagram's "Music Stickers" or by sharing the song directly through Spotify.

Add music to the Instagram story

Before you upload your story, you can add a so-called sticker with music to it. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open Instagram and tap " Your Story " in the upper left corner or swipe right to record a story with the camera.

2nd step:

Once you have taken / selected a photo or video you want , swipe up . You will now see all available stickers that you can add to your story. Tap the music sticker .

3rd step:

You can now search for songs by tapping the search bar at the top and entering the title or artist you want. Then when you tap on a song it will be added to your story.

4th step:

Select below which section of the song you would like to use and also determine which appearance the music should have. You can choose between several fonts for the lyrics or the cover. When you have finished editing, tap " Done " in the upper right corner.

5th step:

Now tap on " Your Story " below to upload your story and share it with your subscribers.

Share music from Spotify on Instagram

Spotify offers a feature that allows you to share music directly in your Instagram story. This method only adds a link to the song in your story, not the song with sound itself. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick start guide ..

1st step:

Open Spotify and start playing any song you want. Then tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner .

2nd step:

Now select " Share ".

3rd step:

Then tap on " Instagram ".

4th step:

You can now edit your story as you wish . When you're done, tap " Your Story " below to post your story .

5th step:

If someone is now looking at your story, he / she can tap " Listen on Spotify " in the upper left corner and will be forwarded directly to Spotify, where the song will be played.

Quick start guide: Sticker

1. Open Instagram and tap the top of " Your Story " or whisk you to the right . Load a photo or video into the story, then swipe up to open the stickers.
2. Then tap Music, and then find the song you want by typing the title or artist in the search bar at the top. Just tap on a song to add it to your story.
3. You can then edit the song excerpt, lyrics and cover. Then tap " Done ".
4. To post the story now, tap on " Your Story " below .

Quick guide: Spotify

1. Open Spotify, start playing a song, then tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner .
2. Choose Share, then choose Instagram .
3. Now edit your story if necessary and then tap on " Your Story " below to post it. Your followers can now listen to the song directly in Spotify when they tap " Listen on Spotify ".
