If you've forgotten your Gmail password, don't worry - you can simply reset it..

Lost track of your passwords and just can't remember your Gmail password? Half the world, you can just reset your password. Read on to find out how to do this.

How to reset your Gmail password

Since you use the same account and therefore the same password for all Google services, you will have to reset your Google password if you can no longer log into Gmail. Follow our step-by-step instructions , the quick start guide or the explanatory video .

1st step:

Open the following website: https://accounts.google.com/signin . Then enter your email address on the Google login page and click the " Next " button .

2nd step:

Then go to " Forgot your password? ".

3rd step:

You will now be asked to enter the last password that you can still remember. If you would like to use a different method of account recovery, click the " Choose Another Option " button below . You've got the following possibilities: Send verification code to a linked email address : This method will send you a six-digit code to the email address you have linked to your Google Account. If you don't have a linked email, you will be presented with the next option to recover your account. Send verification code to a linked phone number: send a six-digit code to a linked phone number. Again, you will see the next option in case you have not linked a number to your account. Provide an email address that you currently have access to : With this method, you provide another email address that you have access to. In this case, Google will check your details and contact you within three days. You will then have to confirm your identity.

4th step:

Whichever method you choose, you can set a new password at the end . However, this is optional, as you can go directly to your account by clicking " Skip ". However, for security reasons, we recommend creating a new password.

Tip : To avoid having to remember any passwords at all, try a password manager..

3. Now click on " Forgot your password? ".
4. Now select an account recovery method you want by repeatedly clicking on "Choose another option ".
5. You have the following options:

1. - Provide an email address that you currently have access to: If you choose this method, Google will check your details and contact you within 3 working days.
