You can use gift cards for the App Store to pay for apps and games, but also books, audiobooks and music. In this article we will show you how you can easily redeem your App Store and iTunes gift card with your iPhone and use your credit.

Redeem the App Store voucher on your iPhone - this is how it works

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open the App Store app on your iPhone and tap on your profile icon . You may still have to log in with your Apple ID.

2nd step:

Now tap on " Redeem card or code " to add the gift card balance to your account.

3rd step:

Now scan the code on the gift card with your iPhone. Alternatively, you can enter the code manually. Then tap on " Done ". The gift card balance is now linked to your Apple ID and can be used for payments in the App Store, the iTunes Store or for iCloud storage or Apple subscriptions - e.g. even on a Mac with the same Apple ID are signed in.

1. Scrape off the voucher code on the back of the gift card.
2. Now open the App Store on your iPhone and tap on your user picture in the upper right corner .
3. Then tap Redeem Card or Code .
4. You can now use your iPhone camera to scan the code or enter it manually.
5. Then confirm with " Done ". You can now use your credit wherever you are logged in with your Apple ID.
