You are likely to receive dozens, maybe hundreds, of email messages every day. But not all of these emails are helpful or even encouraged. Fortunately, Gmail has a pretty good spam management system. Nevertheless, it can happen from time to time that the spam filter classifies some messages incorrectly. Because the filter learns from your ratings and interactions, it should be trained properly.

Mark emails as spam

If you find unwanted spam in your inbox, you can simply mark it as spam so that it will hopefully end up in the spam folder in the future. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

In Gmail, open the message that you want to mark as spam. Click on the three-dot menu at the top right and then select the entry " Report Spam " from the menu .

Then click on the " Report Spam " button .

The e-mail will then be moved to the spam folder and the spam filter will mark similar messages as spam in the future.

Whitelist emails from the spam folder

Open your Spam folder in Gmail. You can find this on the left via the " More " menu . Then open the desired message in the spam folder.
