The first thing we will have to do is right-click on the folder that you want to change from the Finder application or on your desktop. In the menu, we are going to select “Get information”..
Once we are in the information window, we will select the folder icon in the upper left.
In the menu bar, we go to Edit > Copy..
Next, we will have to open the Preview app through the Applications folder. Alternatively, we can achieve this by accessing the Launchpad in the Dock.
In Preview, we are going to select File > New from clipboard.
We will see a copy of the image of the folder. At the top right, we'll need to choose the Show Markup Toolbar button.
Now, we will select the color settings icon at the top.
In the color editor, we can move the slider to be able to adjust the colors of the folder.
Once we are done, we will have to use the mouse to highlight the image from the folder, finally we press Command + C.
We will return to the folder information window. If we have closed it, we will locate it and right click on it and choose Information.
In the Info window, select the folder icon in the upper left corner and press Command + V. The folder image icon will update to the new color. We will have to repeat these steps to change the color of any folder we want.
