FARO Focus Laser Scanners are specifically designed for both indoor and outdoor measurements in industries such as Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Public Safety and Forensics or Product Design.

The laser scanner FocusS Series additionally offers further functionality. In addition to increased distance and angular accuracy, all FocusS scanners are equipped with an internal accessory pocket and an in-situ stabilization function quality verification.

When used with SCENE Software, FocusS supports real-time, on-site recording, enabling wireless transmission, processing, mapping and recording of 3D scan data directly to a mobile device/PC onsite in real time.

LASER SCANNER FOR QUICK AND PRECISE INTERIOR AND EXTERNAL MEASUREMENTS IN THREE DIMENSIONS: JUST AT YOUR FINGERS

FARO  ®  's latest ultra-portable Focus  S  Laser Scanner series provides simple and accurate measurement of complex objects and buildings for fast capture. Focus  S  models' intuitive touchscreen has been increased in size and clarity to deliver an exceptional user experience. The built-in 8 mega pixel HDR camera easily captures detailed images while providing a natural color layer to scan data in extreme lighting conditions. Familiar features such as light weight, small size and a battery runtime of 4.5 hours per charge make the Focus  S  Laser Scanner truly mobile for fast, safe and reliable scanning.

The Focus  S  Series consists of three laser scanners with different ranges: Focus  S  350/350 Plus long range measurement up to 350m, Focus  S  150/150 Plus for mid-range measurements up to 150m and Focus  S  70 up to 70m, just fine short range measurements.

With their sealed design, all S Laser Scanner models are certified with the industry standard Ingress Protection (IP) Rating and are classified as Class 54 for environmental protection. The devices are built to protect against intrusions such as dirt, dust, fog and rain, as well as other outdoor elements that typically occur in harsh browsing conditions. The extended temperature range allows scanning in extreme environments such as deserts. In addition, laser scanners offer a future-proof interface for connecting additional accessories to the scanner and providing a specific on-site compensation routine.

When the Focus  S  is connected to the FARO STAGE on a mobile computer, the project scan data is automatically fully saved. This Onsite Registration overrides in-office registration and the project map creates an all-encompassing overview from the crawled site.

Both Focus S and M series support the new function of rescanning distant targets. Selected areas can now be rescanned at higher resolution for more accurate target detection. Rescanning small areas of interest significantly reduces data volume and the number of scans required while providing the highest possible detail.

Besides Focus  S  series offers FARO Focus  M  Focus 70 includes the same short range distance Laser Scanner,  S  set 70 equipped with less advanced features and a lower level of distance accuracy. The device is ideal for indoor measurements and small area applications.

For the processing of browsing data, users have unlimited freedom of choice to utilize the most useful software tools for their workflow. Point cloud data captured with FARO Laser Scanners can be used with a variety of software packages, including 3rd party software such as FARO SCENE, FARO As-Built, FARO-BuildIT Construction, FARO Zone 2D, FARO Zone 3D, or Autodesk ReCap.

All scanner types offer scanning even in bright sunlight. Remote scanning and virtually unlimited scanning data sharing via SCENE Webshare Cloud make the laser scanning solution truly mobile.

FOCUS  S  350/350 PLUS

The FARO Focus  S  350/350 Plus is specially designed for outdoor applications thanks to its small size, extra light weight and wide scanning range. Focus  S  350 provides scanning results even in harsh environments, tight job sites, dusty or humid areas, rain or direct sunlight applications. An in situ compensation tool allows for data quality optimization in place. Integrated GPS and GLONASS receiver provide easy positioning. HDR imaging and HD photo resolution provide true-to-detail scanning results with high data quality.

FOCUS  S  150/150 PLUS

The ultra-portable Focus  S   150/150 Plus provides fast, simple and ultra-high precision measurements of objects and buildings. It records architectural facades, complex structures, manufacturing and supply facilities, accident sites and bulky components, delivering realistic and accurate scanning results at a range of 150 m per scan.

  • Distance accuracy up to ± 1 mm
  • Range from 0.6m to 150m
  • IP Class 54
  • On-Site Compensation
  • Onsite Registration (with FARO SCENE)
  • Higher resolution rescan of the remote area
  • Digital hashing function
  • Option to Retake Photo
  • Accessory Shoe
