No one is free from being hacked . Although it is more normal to suffer some type of cyber attack on a computer, mobile and tablet users should not lower their guard either. What tips to not fall victim to hackers are most useful?

Beware of pending updates
Passwords, a vital tool
A report by the cybersecurity companyData101 ensures that 40,000 hacks were executed per day in Spain in 2020 , an increase of 125% compared to the previous year. And since the pandemic, in a scenario in which telematic operations are already the order of the day, any precaution is not enough..
Don't open any links
Let's use our heads and let's not be literal either. We refer to links that an unknown or suspicious contact passes us, or that we see in an email, wherever it comes from . Many of these links arrive attached to emails from supposedly legitimate companies. No bank, streaming content platform or messaging service is going to ask you to put certain personal data on any website. Simply delete the mail and search for information about it. And on mobile, be careful with SMS. If it comes with a link, delete it directly and add the recipient to the list of blocked numbers.
Use an antivirus
We know that it can be a bit tiring to decide on a specific antivirus. Paid or free version? The closest solution we have is pre- installed directly on our Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system, and it's called Defender. This software is the only thing we need to be able to browse safely and not be hacked . In any case, the best antivirus is always prevention.
Update to not be hacked
Many of the Windows updates fix security holes that have been previously detected. Not updating our computer or mobile means that it remains vulnerable. Downloading the latest version is a very simple operation that we can do in a few minutes and it can be vital to save us from a cyberattack .
Passwords, a vital tool
Not because it is repeated is no longer recommended: passwords must be complex, long and combine letters, numbers and characters. There are numerous tools like LastPass that automatically generate personalized passwords to avoid being hacked . Avoid proper names or anything with which you can be easily related (pets, partner, hobbies ...)..
Avoiding being hacked is easier than it seems, although it requires initiative on the part of the user . We cannot be passive agents when we are connected to the Internet, since our security and our most sensitive information may be at risk.
