It is very easy to use AirPlay on Roku , in this way we will be able to mirror the entire screen or share certain contents of specific applications on iPhone, iPad and Mac with our Roku TV. We can even use it to watch movies and series from the best streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max or Hulu, among others..

In case we want to duplicate the screen on our device to Roku and not from a specific application, we will have to use the "Duplicate screen" option found in the Control Center.

The first thing we will do is open the Control Center. We swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen. On older devices, we access the Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen.

After this, we will press the “Screen mirroring” icon.

A pop-up window will appear and we will have to select the Roku device. An AirPlay passcode will most likely appear on the Roku screen; This code is the one that we will have to enter in our mobile device.

How to screen mirror from a Mac to Roku

We will have to verify if the AirPlay option is activated on our Mac. If we do not see the AirPlay icon (a square where a triangle stands out) in the menu bar located at the top of the screen, we will have to open System Preferences and choose "Screens". At the bottom of Displays, we'll check the box next to “Show mirroring options in menu bar when available”.

After AirPlay is activated and is within range of the Roku TV, we will have to click on the AirPlay button in the menu bar at the top and we can choose our device.

An access code will appear on the TV, which we will have to enter on our Mac to mirror the screen.
