- Launch your web browser, open the official Facebook website from this link and log in to your account
- Access the profile of who you want to add as a friend, from the search box or with another method
- Once in their profile, next to the person's name, click on Add friend to contact them
- Facebook will immediately send that person a friend request from you
- If that person accepts the request, they will automatically become friends.
On the other hand, if you've accidentally sent that request, in the same place where you used to see that button saying Add Friend, it should now say Cancel Request, allowing you to undo the action before it's accepted. Keep in mind, though, that the other person may have seen your request... and then you removed it ..
