In this tutorial we will be developing a new password reset for a Cisco 800 Series Router . Basically "break" access to a Cisco Router. Applies to when we lost the Enable password.

--Reset the Team.

- Press Ctrl + Break while booting

romm1> conf-reg romm1> do you wish cahnge config? And it is

- Press enter

romm1> ignore systema config info? And it is

- Press enter

romm2> i Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? N Router> enable Router # copy startup-config running-config

- Press enter

 Router # conf t Router (conft) # username ****** privilege 15 secret 0 ******** Router # config-register 0x2102 Router # wri mem Router # reload

- After restart the device will enter directly without password of Enable. Before continuing to configure the device, we must configure a new Enable password.
Router (config) #enable secret ******** (new password)
Router (config) #wr

- What we do with these commands is to enter the computer's Memory mode. By changing the memory register we are making the next memory reset of the device not raise the memory module of Password. Therefore, it is necessary to change if or if the Enable password, because when you restart the computer, you will step on the memory module and it will start with the initial configuration. If we perform the suggested steps, in the next reset of the equipment, we will have configured the new Enable password.

This resolves in many cases the loss of passwords and will save us from those configurations not backuped.
