Tips to maintain browser privacy.

A good practice when accessing the internet through a browser in a cyber cafe or public computer, is to use the option of private browsing in FireFox or incognito window in the Chrome browser .

When we use this option, the browser automatically takes care of not saving sensitive data that allows the tracking of any activity, such as cookies, temporary files or history.

Clear cookies from sensitive pages.

Special care must be taken when accessing our bank, our PayPal account or any other service involving credit cards or money. The data to access these pages are the main objective of hackers or malicious users. For this reason we should never allow a browser to remember our user data and password.

Clear browsing history.

Another of the great risks is the browsing history, since from this any user can find out what pages we visit and how often. This can be a problem with computers in our workplace, since our boss can find out what pages we visit during our working hours. I have walked around the web Delete-historial.com and I have learned how to clear the history of several browsers (FireFox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Edge, Opera, etc) .

Delete temporary files.

Finally we have the temporary files that our browser stores automatically, to form what is known as the browser cache and that allows us to load web pages faster in future visits. This that seems harmless in principle can be a problem, since by exploring and analyzing these temporary files sensitive data can be obtained (pages visited, passwords, etc).

There are tools capable of cleaning these files that can compromise our privacy with just a couple of clicks, one of the best known is the CCleaner software. Now that you know the dangers, you can defend yourself and we end the privacy tips in browsers.
