Follow the steps below on the subject.

  1. Perform a clean boot and try the update again.
  2. Temporarily uninstall your antivirus software. (Make sure you have a product key that will allow you to reinstall your software before this process).
  3. Temporarily uninstall 3rd class applications.
  4. If you have set up disk encryption, temporarily disable it. (BitLocker / TrueCrypt).
  5. Disable all external devices and all non-essential devices (Wi-Fi card, memory card reader, Bluetooth, etc.).
  6. Disable your external hard drives and memory cards.
  7. If you are working in the domain, please try again with the local administrator account.
