Operating system fans using Linux and Windows on the same PC often have the desire to access the data of a Linux partition from Windows. Because the Linux file system Ext2 is not supported by the Microsoft platform, this will not work on its own.

Only with the program Explore2FS , which is based on the Windows Explorer, you can overcome this shortcoming. It provides both read and write access to Windows NT, Win95 and NT.

However, you should keep your fingers off write access. The author warns against it and we can only connect after the reinstallation of a Linux computer after a write access of the warning.

Explore2FS can be found at  http://www.chrysocome.net/explore2fs

Complement: According to the program author, Explore2FS does not support ReiserFS. The support is not planned.
