Maintaining a snap streak is part of what makes Snapchat so interesting on smartphones. It is all the more annoying when the flames that have been collected in this way disappear and thus possibly the efforts of days, weeks or months are ruined. In this case, is there any way to recover lost Snap Streaks?
How do snap streaks work?
A streak in Snapchat is the number of consecutive days that you and a friend sent Snaps to each other. According to the rules of Snapchat, a streak starts if you send snaps to each other for more than three days in a row. You can tell by the fact that the person has a flame emoji next to their name. To keep the streak alive, Snapchat will warn you via an hourglass emoji when a streak is about to expire.
Flames can only be collected when snaps - i.e. photos and videos - are sent. Communication in chat is not one of them. If you send a Snap to a group chat with your streak partner, it doesn't count towards your personal streak either. In addition, they must be new snaps: Snaps that are stored in "memories" are not counted as part of the streak.
So if your flames are gone because you didn't follow the streak rules properly, you have no choice but to start over. However, if your flames are lost without justification, you can bring them back again. You can read how to do this in the next section.
What to do when the Snapchat flames are gone
No matter how hard you try, it can happen that a snap streak is lost for technical reasons. If your flames go away for no reason, you can contact Snapchat support and ask them to reactivate them.
It is very easy to report this issue. Namely, when you open the Snapchat contact page , you 'll see the " I've lost my flames " option . Clicking on the option will bring up a drop down form where you will be asked to provide information about your account and the streak. If Snapchat then discovers that the flames have mistakenly disappeared, they will be restored..
