If you want to use an Excel table in your PowerPoint presentation, that is of course not a problem. Because the Office applications work great together. You can insert an already created Excel table or create a new table in PowerPoint. You can also easily integrate Excel tables as graphics. This is especially useful when you no longer need to edit the data in your table.

Link Excel table

If you create a link to your Excel table in PowerPoint, all data that you change in your linked table will also be transferred to PowerPoint. The data is updated as soon as you close and reopen your PowerPoint presentation.

1st step:

Open the slide in your PowerPoint presentation on which you want to insert the Excel file. Now switch to the " Insert " tab at the top and then click the " Object " button at the top right .

Then select the option " Create from file " on the left and click on the " Browse ... " button . Now select your Excel file and then check the " Link " box . Click " OK " and the table will appear in your presentation.

Create Excel table in PowerPoint

With this feature, you can create an Excel spreadsheet right in PowerPoint..

Open the slide in your presentation where you want to insert your table. Then switch to the " Insert " tab at the top . Then click on the " Table " button and select " Excel spreadsheet ".

PowerPoint now creates an Excel spreadsheet. At the top you will find all the functions for editing your table, just like in Excel. You can also insert the contents of an existing table using copy & paste . When you are finished with your table, simply click outside the table to return to PowerPoint. If you want to make further changes to your table, double-click on it.

Insert an Excel table as a graphic

If you are sure that you do not have to make any more changes to your Excel table, you can insert it as a graphic in PowerPoint.

1st step:

Open your Excel spreadsheet and highlight the entire area that you would then like to use in your PowerPoint presentation. Then right-click and select " Copy " from the menu that appears . Alternatively, you can also use the [Ctrl] + [C] keys .

2nd step:

Now switch to your PowerPoint presentation and go to where you want to insert the table. Then select the " Insert " option in the " Start " tab and click the " Graphics " button . You can then move the graphic and adjust its size.
