Photo collages are a fantastic way to share more than one photo or tell a story in a single post. The iPhone does not have its own function with which you can simply create a photo collage, but there are of course a number of free apps for this.

How to make collages with iPhone

Creating a collage on your iPhone is relatively quick and easy to do with a photo collage app like Instagram Layout , Pic Collage or Moldiv . We are introducing you to the first-mentioned app here, as it is completely free and ad-free for editing collages. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Install the Instagram layout app from the App Store and then open it. The photos in your photo library will then be displayed on the home screen. Select the photos you want to add to your collage by tapping on them. A check mark will appear on the selected photos.

2nd step:

At the top of the screen you will then see various collage layouts for you to choose from. Swipe through and choose a layout.

3rd step:

You can now zoom in on any photo in your collage by dragging across the screen with two fingers. You can also use the blue bars to adjust the size of the image. A couple of menu options at the bottom allow you to rotate or flip your photos, replace one photo with another from your gallery, and add a frame.

4th step:

If you press and hold a photo , you can move it to another place in the layout.

5th step:

When you're happy with your layout collage, tap Save at the top .

6th step:

At the bottom of the screen you can then choose whether and where you want to upload or share your collage. It is also automatically saved in your gallery.

quick start Guide

1. Install and open Instagram's free Layout app .
2. Then select the photos you want for your collage.
3. You will then see different layouts for your selection at the top. Select a suitable layout .
4. You can now edit your collage by mirroring or rotating your photos, replacing them with others or using the blue bars to resize them. You can also zoom in on your photos and move them to another location in the layout.
5. When you're happy with your layout collage, tap Save .
6. Your collage will then be automatically saved in your gallery. You now also have options to share the picture on social networks.
