Are you dealing with the mistake of the bar of tasks frozen in Windows 10 ? We know that it can be extremely annoying and uncomfortable on many occasions. In this guide we want to help you solve this annoying problem once and for all..

Disable the news and interests tool

We cannot deny that in certain situations it becomes quite a useful tool. News and Interests appeared in a recent Windows 10 update. Sometimes it can freeze the toolbar because it is a rather heavy function. To deactivate it, we simply right click on the task bar and select "News and interests" then we will "Deactivate".

Restart Windows Explorer

We can also try restarting it by exploring Windows. For this we will have to press the key combination Ctrl + Alt + Del to open the Task Manager. Alternatively we can right click on the task bar and choose "Task Manager"..

Now we are going to have to look for Windows Explorer in the list of processes and click on restart.

Troubleshooting tool

This tool is used to automatically solve many operating system problems. For this we will have to go to Settings by pressing the Windows + i keys. Once we are in configuration, we will have to go to Update and security> Troubleshoot..

Here we will have to go to Additional Troubleshooter> Run the troubleshooter and wait for the process to finish.

Remove the latest Windows update

For this we will have to press Windows + i to open Windows Settings. Then we will have to go to Update and security> View update history> Uninstall update.

Another option is to do it from the Control Panel. For this we go to the Windows search bar and write "Control Panel" then we give it "Enter". Next, we are going to Uninstall a program> View installation updates. We will have to delete two files Update for Microsoft and Security for Microsoft.

Reset Windows 10

In case we had tried everything and still cannot manage to fix the frozen taskbar error in Windows 10 . So the only way to fix this problem is by factory resetting Windows 10. We must bear in mind that this will delete all our data, so it is better to have a backup.

For this we are going to go to Settings and then we will select Update and security> Recovery.

We will select This PC and then Start. We are going to find two options. The first is "Keep my files" where obviously we will save all our files, although the settings and applications are removed. The second is "Remove everything" where it basically leaves us with a clean Windows. You can try whatever you want.
