Page numbering is a useful tool - especially when you are writing long text documents such as essays, dissertations, or books. Microsoft Word gives you an easy way to add page numbers to your document. You can also customize the numbering of the pages as you wish.

How to insert page numbers in Word

1st step:

Open your Word document. Then switch to the " Insert " tab at the top . Now click on the " Page number " button . A drop-down menu then opens in which you can choose the position on the page at which you want to insert the numbering. By default, page numbers are located at the bottom of the page in the footer, which is why we choose " Bottom of Page " in our example . Then choose a suitable option from the menu
