You want to create a survey with Doodle but you don't know how exactly it works? We'll show you!

Doodle makes it easier to find appointments. Because with Doodle, appointments can be made quickly, easily and free of charge. One person creates an event and suggests possible dates, then invites other participants to take part in the survey. They can vote on the dates and comment on them. In this article we will explain to you how exactly you create a Doodle survey.

1st step:

Go to the website https://doodle.com/de and click on " + Create Doodle " in the top right corner .

2nd step:

Give your survey a name . You can optionally add a location and a description . Then click " Continue ".

3rd step:

Now you can select several appointments , possibly also with times . If you want to do a survey without an appointment, you can switch to " Text " via the tabs under the heading . Enter your questions there. When you are finished, click " Continue ".

4th step:

Next you can make further settings for your survey. For example, which answer options there should be or whether the participants can see the answers of the others. For some settings you need the paid premium version. Once you have made all the settings, click on " Continue ".

5th step:

Finally, finish creating the survey. To do this, you need to provide your name and email address . Then click " Done ".

6th step:

You will now go straight to your survey. There you can take part yourself . Above you will find the link to the survey , which you will also receive by email. You can now invite all participants to vote by sending them the link, for example by email or WhatsApp.

Note: Only those who have the link can access your survey. The participants can enter their names there and vote.

The Doodle app is available for both Android and iOS:

How to create a survey in the Doodle app: Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick guide ..

1st step:

On the start page of the Doodle app, tap on the plus symbol in the lower right corner.

2nd step:

To create a new appointment poll, select " Find an appointment ". With " Make a choice " you can create a survey without appointments. In our example we are creating an appointment survey.

3rd step:

You can now edit your survey . Give it a title and select suggested dates. Optionally, you can also enter a location and a description and make further settings (see the following images). To complete the survey, tap on " Create " in the upper right corner .

4th step:

To select appointments, you can connect the Doodle app to your calendar . Alternatively, you can select the dates directly in the app . You can also optionally set times there . End the appointment selection by tapping the tick at the top right .

5th step:

Optionally, you can make further settings for your survey: For example, that the participants have the options "Yes", "No" and "If need be" or can only choose an appointment.

6th step:

If you have tapped on " Create " in the survey overview , your survey is ready. The notification to confirm it with a hint of " Super ". You can now invite other participants ; the various options for this will be displayed. For example, you can send the survey link directly via WhatsApp or email.

7th step:

You can also vote for your poll yourself and use the bar at the top to invite other participants , write a comment or use the three points to open further options. There you can, for example, edit, end or delete the survey.

8th step:

Your survey will now appear on the start page of the Doodle app.

Quick guide: Doodle survey via website

1. On the website https://doodle.com/de click on " + Create Doodle " in the upper right corner .
2. Enter the name of your Doodle survey, optionally add a location and a description . Then click " Continue ".
3. Now choose your dates , optionally with times . For a Doodle survey without an appointment, switch to the " Text " tab and enter your questions there. Finally click on " Continue ".
4. You can now make further settings for your survey. The paid premium version offers more options here. When you are done, click " Continue ".
5. Then finish creating the survey. Enter your name and email address and click on " Done ".
6. You will go straight to your Doodle survey and can take part in it yourself . You can see the link to the survey above and you will also receive it by email. This allows you to invite other participants to vote .

Note: Only those who have the link will be able to access your survey. Then the participants can enter their names there and vote.

Quick guide: Doodle survey via app

5. Your Doodle survey is now ready, confirm the notification by tapping " Great ".
6. Invite other participants by sending the Doodle survey link directly via Whatsapp or email.
7. Vote yourself. You can use the bar at the top to invite more participants, write a comment or use the three-point menu to open further options: For example, you can edit, end or delete the survey.
8. Your survey is now on the start page of the Doodle app.
