How to register your business with Google My Business

To create an account with Google My Business and register your company there, you need a Google account. Once you have an account, you can register your company with My Business.

1st step:

First, go to the Google My Business website and click " Get Started " in the top right corner of the screen .

2nd step:

Now enter the name of your company in the text field . If you have the same name as another company in your area, auto-complete will suggest that company for you. So you can see if your company listing already exists (to avoid accidental duplication) and add a new Google My Business profile to an existing company if you've just opened a new location. If your company is not found, click " Create a company with this name ".

3rd step:

Now you can start creating your company profile: First define a category for your company. This is the service that you offer. You can then add a location for your company during the next steps , define a catchment area for deliveries or customer visits and enter contact details such as telephone number and website.

4th step:

You will then arrive at the step of confirmation. Here, Google asks you to add a postal address to which you will receive a postcard with a code . This will confirm that your business is at the address you have specified. You can skip this step for the time being with " Confirm later ". However, you cannot take full advantage of your company profile until your company has been confirmed. You can then enter the verification code in the " Verification required " section of your company profile after you have finished creating it.

5th step:

In the next step, you have the option of defining opening times for your company.

6th step:

You can then finish off by writing a description and adding photos of your business. Then click " Next " to finish setting up your profile.

7th step:

You have now successfully created a Google My Business account for your company. The more information you add here to your Google My Business page, the more effective it will be. Your business address should already be set, but there are a number of other details you can fill out.

1. Open the website https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/business/ and click on " Get started now " in the top right corner .
2. Next , enter your company name and select it if it shows up in the auto-complete. If your company is not found, click " Create a company with this name ".
3. You can then enter various information about your company, such as category, address, contact details and delivery district.
4. You will then be prompted to your business confirm . To do this, you need to provide an address to which a postcard with a code will be sent. You can then enter this code later in your company profile under the section " Confirmation required ". You cannot make full use of your company profile until your company has been confirmed.
5. You can then enter opening times and write a description . Setting up your profile is complete with a few photos .
