Since the introduction of Instagram Stories, more and more features have been added. Including more fonts, with which you can give your stories on the social media platform more character. And Instagram makes changing the font really easy for you.

How to change the font in Instagram Stories

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and tap " Your Story " at the top to create a story.

2nd step:

Then take a photo or video for your story. Then tap the "Aa" symbol in the upper right corner to add text to your story.

3rd step:

Then enter your desired text. You can change its size with the slider on the left edge of the screen. To now select a different font, swipe through the various "Aa" symbols below to select one of the fonts shown.

4th step:

If you now tap on the third symbol in the bar at the top , you can add various highlights to the fonts . These can be shadows, borders or, as can be seen in our example, boxes behind the text. These differ for each font.

5th step:

If you tap on the second icon above, you can switch to the color picker and so change the color of your font. If you tap the symbol again, the different fonts appear again.

6th step:

When you've adjusted your text the way you want , you can move the text box anywhere in your story.

7th step:

When you're done, you're ready to publish your story .

1. Record a story on Instagram by tapping " Your Story " at the top of the Instagram app, then taking a video or photo.
2. Then tap the "Aa" symbol in the upper right corner to add text to your story.
3. Then enter your text and, if necessary, change its size using the slider on the left edge of the screen .
4. To change the font, swipe through the various "Aa" symbols below to select one of the fonts shown.
5. Then tap on the third icon above, you can add special highlights to the fonts.
6. The second icon above allows you to change the color of the text.
7. When you're done, you can move the text anywhere in your story and then publish it .
