With this innovation, Instagram brings a function that Facebook and WhatsApp have had for a long time: Instagram's direct messaging area shows when a contact last used the app. Of course, your contacts can also see when you were last online. However, you can deactivate this activity status. The structure of the app is identical for iOS and Android. You can use our instructions regardless of your operating system.

Note: If you deactivate the function, you will no longer be able to see the last activity in your contacts either.

Disable Instagram activity status

1st step:

On the main screen , tap on the " paper plane icon" in the top right corner to view the activity status of your contacts.

2nd step:

You can now see the last online status of your contacts who activated this display. In the next step we will show you how to deactivate this function .

Then open the burger menu in the top right corner and then select " Settings ".

4th step:

Once in the settings, select the item " Privacy ".

5th step:

Here tap on " Activity Status ".

Finally, you need to disable the slider . After that, your activity status will no longer be shown to your contacts and you will no longer be able to see that of your contacts.
