It can be very useful to record a meeting - for example for someone who was unable to attend, or to be able to look back at what was discussed afterwards. Because of this, you can also easily record at Webex Meetings. You can find out exactly how this works here.

How to Record a Webex Meeting

Prerequisite: To be able to record a meeting, you must be the host , co-host or moderator of the meeting. You can also record meetings in two different ways: directly on your computer or in the cloud . If you record the meeting locally on your device, you will need the Webex program, but none of the paid subscription models. This is different when recording via the cloud, but the recording is also independent of your Internet connection and may therefore have a slightly better quality. Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Join the meeting from the Webex program on your Windows computer or Mac. If you have not already installed the program, you can download it for free from the WebEx website here . In the meeting, click the " Record " button below .

2nd step:

You will now see the “ Recorder ” window . If the option to record in the cloud is available to you, you can make the appropriate setting here. Otherwise the local recording is used automatically . Click on “ Record ”.

3rd step:

If you use local recording , you have to specify a storage location where the video will be saved afterwards. On Windows devices, an Explorer window opens for this purpose, on the Mac you will see a Finder window. Find the folder you want, give the file a name and click " Save ".

4th step:

The recording will now start. If you want to interrupt or end it, click the " Record " button again and choose either the " Interrupt " or the " Stop " symbol. If you end a recording, it will either be stored in the selected location after the meeting or you will receive a download link by email from which you can download the recording.

1. Join a meeting from the Webex program on your computer.
2. Click on “ Record ” below . If necessary, select whether the meeting should be recorded locally on your computer or in the cloud . Then click on “ Record ”.
3. If you are using local recording , you can specify a name and location for the recording. Confirm with “ Save ” or “ Save ”.
4. Pause or stop the recording by clicking on " Record " again . Depending on whether you are using the recording locally or in the cloud, the file will either be saved in the selected storage location or you will receive a download link by email .
