Why should I change the channel on my FritzBox?

In the best case scenario, the overlaps have no effect on the WLAN networks. However, a channel that is used twice often leads to connection problems. Your WiFi connection may be slower or some devices may not be able to connect at all. Then it is worthwhile to adjust the channel settings on the router.

There is only one disadvantage, however: Your WLAN environment could be temporarily interrupted. As a rule, all WLAN devices automatically switch to the new channel. Change the radio channel of the FritzBox

1st step:

Call up the FritzBox user interface by entering fritz.box in the browser. Then log in there.

2nd step:

Click on " WLAN " on the left and select " Radio Channel ". Now you have to click on " Adjust radio channel settings " on the right-hand side . Here you can choose from a large number of channels for the frequencies 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz under " Radio channel ". Finally, click " Apply " in the lower right corner to save the changes.
