Creating and posting Facebook stories is done quickly, regardless of whether in the smartphone app or in the browser on the PC..

Facebook stories are short, individually adapted collections of photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours. The idea for stories on Facebook comes from Snapchat. Snapchat was created in 2011 as a platform on which moments can be shared with friends, which then disappear again. Stories can be on a wide range of subjects - whether you're sharing vacation photos, your tickets to the next live show, or just a fun snap of your pet. Whatever you want to temporarily share with your friends, you can post in a story.

How to create a Facebook story

You can post a Facebook Story with text and photo using a web browser, or use the mobile app to create surveys, music stories, and more.

1st step:

Open the Facebook app on your smartphone and tap on " Create story ".

2nd step:

Then choose the type of story you want to add. Various options are available to you in the app: To add a photo or video story , tap any item in the gallery or take a photo or video using the camera icon at the bottom right of the screen. Tap " Text " to add text to your story. Tap Music to add a song to your story. Tap Boomerang to take a series of photos, which will then loop back and forth as a short video. Tap Mood to choose an image from the GIFs library to add text and other effects to. Tap Selfie to take a selfie and add emojis and effects. Tap on " Poll " to create a poll for your friends in which they can choose between two answers.

3rd step:

Once you have selected your story or taken a photo or video, you can now edit the story. You will find several symbols on the right edge of the screen with which you can add stickers , text , drawings , moods , markings and animations .

4th step:

For example, if you tap the top symbol, a menu for adding stickers opens . Here you can also add various elements such as your location , a GIF , music or a survey . For example, select the sticker for the survey here.

5th step:

You can then edit your survey and move it to a desired location in your story . Then tap on the third icon in the list on the right edge of the screen to add a drawing .

6th step:

You can use the slider to change the brush thickness and swipe through the different colors at the bottom. At the top left with " Undo " you can undo your last brushstrokes. When you are satisfied, tap " Done ".

7th step:

Then go to " Privacy " at the bottom left .

8th step:

Here you can specify who you want to share your story with, for example " Public ", " Friends " or " Custom ". If you select " Custom Select," you can share the story only with certain people you chose. Then tap the arrow in the top left to get back to your story.

9th step:

When you have finished editing your story, tap " Share to Story " in the lower right corner .

10th step:

Your story will then be published and can be viewed by your friends for 24 hours .

1st step:

Open the Facebook website in your browser and log in there if necessary. Then click on " Create Story ".

2nd step:

You now have the option to create a photo story or a text story . If you choose the former option, you can choose an image from your computer.

3rd step:

You will then see a preview in the right part of the window. Now click on " Add text " on the left .

4th step:

Then enter your desired text and choose a suitable color for it.

5th step:

You can then adjust the size and position of the text field.

6th step:

When you have finished editing your story, click the gear icon in the upper left corner .

7th step:

Here you can choose who you want to share your story with, for example " Public ", " Friends " and " Custom ". Then click on " Save ".

8th step:

If you are happy with your story, click on " Share in story " in the lower left corner .

9th step:

Your story will then be posted and its content can be viewed by your friends for 24 hours .

Quick guide: App

1. In the Facebook app, tap Create Story .
2. You can then choose the type of story you want to add, or take a photo or video yourself using the camera icon in the lower right corner.

4. As you add elements to your story, you can adjust their size and position however you want.

Quick start guide: Desktop

1. Click on the Facebook website to " Story create ".
2. Now choose whether you want to create a photo story or a text story . For a photo story, you need to select an image from your computer.
3. Then click on " Add Text " on the left .
4. Now enter your desired text and set a color .
5. You can then adjust the size and position of the text box.
6. Now click on the gear icon in the top left .
7. Here you can edit your privacy settings and choose who you want to share your story with. Then click on " Save ".
8. If you are satisfied with your story, click on " Share in story " in the lower left corner to publish it for 24 hours .
