Insert tilde (~)

Go to the desired location and press the key combination [Alt] + [N] . Then enter a space to make the tilde appear.

Tip : The “Alt” key is often referred to as the “Option” key on the Mac. You can find it between the "Control" and the "Command" key to the left of the space bar..

Insert superscript tilde (ñ)

If you would like to type a superscript tilde at ñ, as is often found in Spanish, also enter [Alt] + [N] . Then tap [N] so that the ñ is displayed.
