Portrait format is not always optimal for a document. A picture, for example, can be represented much better horizontally. Fortunately, just like Word, you can change the format in Google Docs . You can read exactly how this works in the following.

How to set up landscape in Google Docs

1st step:

On the top left on " File " and then " Page Setup ". A new window is opening up.

2nd step:

Here you can choose between the options " Portrait " and " Landscape " under " Orientation " . At the top under " Apply " you can edit whether your format should be used " For the entire document " or only " For selected content ". If you choose the latter option, you can choose which pages should be displayed in landscape orientation. For example, you can set the portrait orientation for pages with a lot of text and landscape orientation for pages with tables or pictures. With a click on " OK "this option is applied to your document.
