Remove Samsung Calendar on Galaxy Phones

All Samsung devices have pre-installed company applications, many of these duplicate those from Google. The drawback is that many of us prefer an application like Google Calendar, instead of the one offered by Samsung. So before having to deal with double notifications, it is best to directly remove Samsung calendar on Galaxy phones so you can use Google Calendar..

The bad news is that you cannot uninstall or deactivate Samsung Calendar. Although there are some methods to prevent it from interfering with Google Calendar.

Remove Samsung Calendar on Galaxy Phones

The first thing we will have to do is slide down from the top of the screen, then we will press on the Settings icon that is shaped like a gear..

Now we're going to have to scroll down to Applications.

Once we are in Applications, we will have to look for the Samsung Calendar application which is under the name Calendar or Calendar and has a teal icon..

Now that we are in the application section, we are going to find Notifications and proceed to deactivate them all.

We go back and go to Permissions, we will have to delete them all.

After removing all permissions, we are going to go to Mobile Data and disable Allow background data usage.

To finish, we go to the Battery section and we will change it to Restricted so that the application cannot run in the background.

Basically, that would be it. In this simple way the app will not send notifications, it will not have permissions to access our calendars, it will not run in the background and finally the application will not use mobile data. The application will still be installed, but you could say that with this configuration we left it for decoration, it simply does not work.

We cannot deny that Samsung hardware is of impressive quality. However, in terms of software quality, sometimes we have better completely free options, such as Google Calendar.
