With the new release of Mozilla Firefox Quantum , version 57, a series of new features have been added focused on attracting the attention of millions of users to lean towards this new and renewed browser..

Firefox Quantum offers us various functionalities such as new containers, new tabs, faster accesses and multiple types of animation.

Just one of the new animations included in Firefox Quantum is related to the animation of the downloads, which we find in the upper right corner, and this is thanks to the Photon interface implemented in Quantum..

If we do not want this animation to be enabled, we can deactivate it with some simple steps.

To disable this animation in Firefox Quantum, we will go to the address bar and execute the following line:

 about: config
The following will be displayed:

There we click on the "I accept the risk" button to access the browser settings and we must be careful with the parameters we edit so as not to affect the performance of the browser..

Now, in the search box we will enter the following line:

 browser.download.animateNotifications

We can see that in the Value column we find the true line which enables animation. Simply double click on this line so that this value becomes false:

If you wish to enable this animation again, we must go to this line and set its value to true by double clicking on it again.

It's that simple, Firefox Quantum allows us to enable or not this type of animation.
