This Windows utility (which is present in both Windows XP, Vista and 7) will save us from more than one problem in many cases, example cases: If you notice that you have just been infected by a virus or Trojan horse, if you have unconfigured something of the system and you do not know how to make it right again, if you want to restore the system to a previous state because you have installed something that has annoyed you others ... your friend is the " Restoration of the System to a previous state ".

It is very easy to use, basically what we do is restore, files and system settings to a previous date, it is very important to make clear that doing it does NOT mean a loss of your modifications in your files or work. This is the only thing that restores the system, so we could lose updates, system configurations, installations that would have been made between the restoration date and the current one and little else.

Step to detail the process:

As seen in the image, click on Start and then All Programs .

Click on Accessories

Now in System Tools

Click on Restore the System to open the application

The welcome screen will appear, click on Next

On this screen we select the date to which we want to restore the system, all the automatic copies that have been made will appear, if we want to see older dates we just have to click on "Show more restoration points". We select the day to which we want to go back and restore our System to that day and click Next .

Finally click on Finish and the team will begin to perform the restoration process, restart the computer and take a little longer than normal. By entering a new username and password to enter the computer, you will get a screen that will indicate that the restoration was successful, you will have the system restored to the date you selected. If your problem persists, you can repeat the process by selecting a date after which you selected.
