Knowing the serial number of your Apple Watch can be very useful in several cases, especially to check the warranty status or to check the model of the watch if you buy it second-hand.
It is not always easy to know where to look for this famous serial number. On the object itself, you can see many symbols, without knowing exactly which make up the serial number of the Apple Watch.
Fortunately, Apple offers several options for finding this identification number. A good thing when the watch does not turn on anymore or the number on the object has been deleted.
From the system
If you still have your watch and it works, you can then consult the serial number of your Apple Watch from its dial. To do this, go to the smartwatch settings, then "General" and select "About". At the bottom of the page, you should see the watch serial number.
From an iPhone
If your watch has a problem or you can no longer get your hands on it, you can always consult its identification number from the iPhone to which it was paired. Then simply consult the Watch application on your smartphone, select "General", then "About".
From the watch
If Apple has deleted the identification number on the back of the iPhone, this is not the case for the Apple Watches. They still display their serial number. It is written on the back of the watch.
For Apple Watch Series 1 and later, it will be necessary to remove the strap from the watch to observe the serial number where the strap was housed. For other models (1 st generation), the serial number is engraved on the back of the watch, author of the dial.
Finally, you can also find this number on the watch box, as well as on your Apple Watch invoice.
