Connect the PS5 DualSense controller to PC and Android

The new generation has finally arrived and that also means new controllers. The DualSense is the primary gamepad for the PS5, but its compatibility goes beyond Sony's new console. Here is everything you need to know about how to connect PS5 DualSense controller to PC and Android .

Connect the PS5 DualSense controller to PC and Android

If you've ever connected a DualShock 4 controller to a PC or Android phone, there isn't much of a difference here in terms of syncing with your device. The most important thing that you need to do on your device is to first make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.

As long as your Windows computer or Android phone has Bluetooth enabled, it will be able to find the DualSense controller once it is put into pairing mode. You can also connect the controller directly to your device with a USB cable. Android devices may need an adapter to do this.

Just be aware that we encountered some compatibility issues while connecting the DualSense controller via USB.

If you want to stay completely wireless, hold the PS and Share buttons simultaneously until the light bar starts flashing blue. This is the indicator that the DualSense is in pairing mode. Then go back to your device's Bluetooth connection screen and click or tap Wireless Controller.

From now on, the controller will just use generic controller drivers to run. This may cause compatibility issues for some games while others will not have any issues.

Here is a brief summary of how to connect PS5 DualSense controller to PC and Android :

Activate Bluetooth on your device

It can work via USB, but currently there seem to be fewer issues with a Bluetooth connection.

Activate pairing for the DualSense controller

Press and hold PS + Share button simultaneously until the light bar starts blinking blue.

Pair with device

Go back to your device's Bluetooth menu and tap or click Wireless controller to pair it. The light bar will remain solid blue when connected.

That's all there is to know how to connect PS5 DualSense controller to PC and Android . We are currently testing this on iOS and MacOS. Expect an update shortly.
